This month, Janesville locals can put their least attractive holiday sweater to good use. The 'Ugly Sweater Fun, Rock, and Roll' invites individuals to wear an unattractive sweater and get on the move.
Since this is a fun run, the 2.16-mile route will not be timed. There will be stops along the way at which individuals can snag door prizes. Participants can also win prizes for sporting the ugliest sweater. After the race, there will be hot chocolate to enjoy.
The event will benefit Riverfront services; a nonprofit organization that provides support for adults with disabilities and aims to improve their lives. The establishment offers extracurricular activities like social outings and science experiments. It also provides vocational, recreational, and behavioral services.
The money raised at the run will go to Riverfront's 'People Can’t Wait Fund’. This system provides temporary funding so that individuals can have a financial buffer in times of need.
Registration costs $35 for adults and $15 for kids of the age of 12 and under. Registration includes an ‘Ugly Sweater’ mug. In order to promote the event, it is probable that printing services were utilized to make Banners and Flyers.
