Spring in Janesville has brought with it the chance to take a walk among nature and enjoy the wildflowers starting to bloom in the woodlands.
Led by the Friends of Riverside Park, the ‘Spring Wildflower Walk’ is gently-paced with all ages in mind. Organizers may have used poster printing to share information about this event with residents from the community.
Participants can enjoy a one-mile walk, taking in the colorful wildflowers poking their heads out this spring. This scenic walk will traverse along the Devil’s staircase and be led by environmentalist Dave Bendin.
Due to the focus on nature and the outdoors, it is planned to be an educational walk from which both children and adults can learn. Guests are reminded to wear appropriate and comfortable clothing and shoes, and they should also be sure to bring water for drinking. The group will meet in the North Pavilion located in Riverside Park and must pre-register prior to this Wednesday, April 30.
The walk is free to take part in, although donations will gladly be accepted, and will take place next Sunday, May 4, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Rotary Gardens located at 1455 Palmer Drive.
