At least four Janesville fundraisers are scheduled for April. All are going ahead at the time of writing although this should be checked as the dates approach.
On April 4, The Crosby Place, 120 N Crosby Avenue, will be the location of the Janesville Community Day Care Center’s Comedy Night fundraiser. Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the event will end around 9:30 pm.
Nerf Wars will be a night of Nerf games to benefit Safe Families for Children Wisconsin. Adults and teens are invited to bring their own gear and ammo for the foam-based combat game. Check-in will begin at 6:00 pm with the games beginning at 6:30 pm. This event will take place April 10 from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm at Resonate Church, 2707 Bond Place.
CASA of Rock County, an advocacy for abused and neglected children, will be hosting their 2nd annual benefit luncheon on April 16. Keynote speaker will be author of "Garbage Bag Suitcase" Shenandoah Chefalo and the program will include the CASA Impact Awards. The luncheon will be held at the Armory, 10 S. High Street from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm.
On Wednesday, April 29, the Salvation Army of Rock County will hold Celebrating Hope Annual Others Luncheon. Guest speaker will be former NFL football player Ray McElroy. The benefit luncheon will be from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at Glen Erin Golf Club’s Celtic House, 1417 W. Airport Road.
Advocates for these programs sometime get a little flyer printing done to distribute in workplaces, neighborhoods, and clubs.
