Rotary International will be hosting its 20th Annual Janesville Morning Rotary Pie Ride 2020 in early October.
Family Fun Flex will be a 5k ride, with 20k and 50k options. Hardier folk may opt for the 100 K bike rides. All routes are paved, low-traveled and well-marked. Cue sheets and maps will be available for the 50k and the 100k riders. All rides will begin and end at Lions Beach. Beverages and food will be available between 7:00 am and 1:00 pm at multiple rest stops. Sag vehicles will be available on the course until 2:00. Pies and drinks will be waiting at the finish line. All riders will be required to wear helmets.
Registration will begin at 6:30 am and the 100k riders will start at 7:00 am. Riders covering the other three distances will leave at 8:30 am.
Pre-registration can be done by mail or online. Individual registration will be $30 and family registration will be $70. Event day registrations will increase to $40 and $80 respectively. Family registrations will be for two adults and kids 18 and under and come with two pies. Swag includes long sleeve t-shirts sporting the event graphic design and, of course, pie.
Proceeds will go to local charities.
The Janesville Morning Rotary Pie Ride will take place at Lions Beach, 1401 Palmer Drive on Saturday, October 3rd.
