The Mercyhealth Development Foundation will present its annual House of Mercy Homeless Center Charity Ball in late April.
A social hour from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm with cocktails and hor d’oeuvres will begin the black-tie-optional gala. Guests will sit down to a gourmet dinner at 6:30 pm. A presentation will include Fund the Need and a video depicting the lives of people who have been homeless in our area. The evening will also include a live auction that ends at 7:00, a silent auction concluding at 9:45 pm, and the winners of the Community Raffle will be announced around 10:00 pm.
Tickets for the Community Raffle have been available at the hospital gift shops in Rockford and Janesville, and other Mercyhealth facilities. Grand prize will be $5,000 in flooring, second prize $2,500, third prize $1,500, fourth prize $5,00 and fifth prize $2,50. Businesses that donate grand prizes like this like to have pictures taken with the winner, then sent to local Print shops for poster printing and advertisers.
The seven-member party band, Hip Pocket will be the band for the evening. Their playlist includes classics from singers like Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Journey, John Cougar, and Hall & Oates. The group will perform from 8:00 pm until 11:00 pm.
The House of Mercy Charity Ball 2019 will take place Saturday, April 27 from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm at the Janesville Country Club, 2615 W. Memorial Drive.
