Two charity golf events - a mini golf championship coming toward the end of August and a memorial golf outing in mid-September - will be coming to Janesville.
The ECHO Mini Golf Championship will be a new fundraiser for ECHO, an organization that offers services and programs including food, housing and basic needs to those in need. Tickets are $55 for individuals and $200 per teams. Tickets will include 18 holes of mini golf, bucket golf, a floating hole-in one competition, food, and drinks. Businesses may sponsor each of the holes.
The ECHO Mini Golf Championship will be August 22nd from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Traxler Park, 600 N Main Street.
The 1st Annual Live Like Sam Memorial Golf Outing will be a community celebration of the legacy and life of Samantha Palan. Registration will be $500 for foursomes and will include cart, 18 holes, lunch box, and BBQ dinner. For additional costs, registrants may buy tickets for raffle baskets, mulligan packages (free strokes), drinks and raffle/buy ins at designated holes. Prizes will go to specific individuals and to the top team.
Proceeds from the event will go to causes that were dear to Sam.
Businesses that donate to raffle baskets at events such as this often put Business Cards in with their donations.
The 1st Annual Live Like Sam Memorial Golf Outing will take place September 19th beginning a 10:00 am at the Glen Erin Golf Club, 1417 W Airport Road.
