July events in Janesville are still being scheduled for this summer.
Janesville’s free traditional Patriotic Concert in the Park will be held a little early on July 3rd. The Beloit Janesville Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro Tomaro, will play classic and modern American and patriotic favorites. As always, the evening’s performance will close with the stirring Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture.
Guests are invited to bring their own blankets and chairs. Vendors will be on site selling summer treats.
Patriotic Concert in the Park will take place from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm at the Lower Courthouse Park Marvin W. Roth Community Pavilion, 51 S. Main Street.
A July 4th party is also being scheduled for Friday, July 3rd from 4:30 pm until 10:00 pm at Janesville VFW Post 1621, 1015 Center Avenue. Live music will be provided by Sid and Friends and the evening will end with fireworks.
On the 4th of July, a free Independence Day on Rock Festival will again present food trucks, inflatables for the children, live music, a show by the Rock Aqua Jays Water Ski Show Team and fireworks sponsored by Festival Foods at dusk.
This event will open at 3:00 pm, start the live music at 3:30 pm and the ski show at 7:00 pm. The fun will be in Traxler Park, 600 N. Main Street.
