Janesville is about to get a little merrier. The town will be treated to three full days of holiday festivities.
Janeville’s Jolly Jingle will allow residents and visitors to shop, enjoy entertainment, and take part in family friendly activities. Some events are free, while others have a nominal fee.
On the first night, there will be a tree lighting at which hot chocolate and coffee will be available. Strolling carolers will provide entertainment.
On the weekend, guests can enjoy snow tubing, stories at the library, and various ice skating shows and skating opportunities. Crafts, cookie decorating, and games are a few of the other activities. Attendees can also see real reindeer and festive elves, who will both be available for pictures. A special holiday farmers’ market will include local food and handmade items.
A lighted parade will feature floats and lit vehicles. Other nighttime festivities include fireworks and a special teen skate time.
Throughout the three-day event, those who are interested can enjoy various performances of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ at the performing arts center on Main Street. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students.
In order to inform residents about this holiday extravaganza, a postcard printing company was likely asked to make a direct mailer to send to locals.
The Jolly Jingle begins on December 5 and ends on December 7. It all takes place in Downtown Janesville.
