The 2019 Beloit Winterfest is coming in just a few weeks.
The three-day event has many venues. Festivities will start with Bingo at Grinnell Hall, 631 Bluff Street during the first afternoon, and a free Luminary Riverside Walk around Riverside Lagoon will follow in the early evening. The free family movie ‘Christopher Robin’, at Rotary River Center at 1160 Riverside Drive, will be screened, and open skate featuring a live DJ will run at Edwards Ice Arena, 2101 Cranston Road.
Saturday’s activities will include crafts and fun at the Beloit Public Library from 10:00 am until noon, gymnastics at the Y from noon until 1:00 pm, and a Winter Walk About beginning at the Confluence from 1:00 until 3:00 pm. A singles round robin Pickleball tournament will start at 2:30 at Beloit Memorial High School, 1225 Fourth Street.
On the last day, free horse-drawn sleigh rides will be available from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Big Hill Park and Janesville guests can go to Welty Environment Center afterward for hot chocolate and to participate in candle dipping.
Krueger Haskell Golf Club, 1611 Hackett Street, will start a euchre (card game) tournament at 12:45 pm. Pre-registration is required for this.
Towns that hold events such as this usually have pictures taken to include in their following year’s visitor guide printing.
The 2019 Beloit Winterfest will run from January 25 through 27.
