Labor Fest 2018 is only a few weeks away. This year the theme will be ‘Learning from the Past, Working with the Present, Building our Future’.
The first day will begin with Adult Co-Ed Mud Volleyball and kids’ games and activities. The 3-6-7-8 Dance Studio will be hosting an hour of interactive dance and that will be followed by the Competition Run on the Junior Ninja Warrior Course, and then the Ninja Warrior Course fun Run will be in the afternoon. Frank & Company and Done Deal will provide music, and DJ music will be playing all day at the mud volleyball area.
The second day will start with a Bags (corn hole) tournament. Winners in each tournament will likely want to have pictures taken for future poster printing. Along with the activities of the first day, a Raffle Drawing will net the first prize winner $1,000. Bands will be Party Marty, Bass Creek, and Band Gary.
The parade and car show will be the final events for the weekend.
Labor Fest will run from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm September 1 and 10:00 am until 11:00 pm September 2 at 1795 Lafayette Street. The car show at Dee’s Barber Shop, 310 W. Centerway, and the Labor Day parade will be on September 3 with the car show beginning at 10:00 am and the parade running from 1:00 until 3:00 pm.
