The 96th Rock County 4-H Fair will be coming to Janesville in late July.
On Tuesday, July 22, 4-H judging will take place from 8:00 am to noon. Afternoon events will include more judging followed by a lumberjack show, dog agility show, an interactive lumberjack camp, a coronation parade, and the Fairest of Fair beauty contest.
After a swine show at 8:00 am, judging will take place until 9:00 am on Wednesday, July 23. A tractor-operated contest will begin at 9:00 am and more judging will continue until 2:30 pm when another lumberjack show will begin. Further judging will continue on Friday and Saturday.
Winners of 4-H judging often have pictures taken of themselves holding their award ribbons and their winning entries, and take the pictures to local Print shops to make duplicates for family and friends
The fair will wind down on Sunday with a beef fitting contest and Rock County 4-H Fair alumni greet, a cavy and hamster show in the morning, and a Dairy Youth Auction and Mater Showman contest in the afternoon.
Other entertainment will include a talent contest, trivia night, music artists, and professional bull riding.
