Janesville will kick off the holiday season with its annual Jolly Jingle. This three-day fun family event is coming early in December.
The first day will feature an art exhibit, hot chocolate and treats sale, and the tree lighting ceremony. A play, The Santa Diaries, will be presented at Stage One. The evening will be topped off with a family skate at Janesville Iced Arena.
The next day will have a farmers’ market, a holiday vendor market, and a concert of local talent. There may also be a Spice on Ice Skate Show, Stories with Santa, and a Skate with Santa. Mrs. Claus might just give out her secrets for hosting the perfect holiday party, and everyone can vote for their favorite gingerbread houses.
Janesville’s Senior Center is likely to be just be the place for cookie decorating, games and holiday crafts. Live reindeer, a magic show, and the Holiday Lighted Parade will also be part of the festivities. Holiday fireworks will appear after the parade. The Tallman house will hold its annual Victorian Christmas celebration.
The final day, things begin to wind down with another holiday concert, a holiday vendor market, and possibly a holiday presentation at the Janesville Performing Arts Center.
Jolly Jingle is slated for December 2, 3, and 4 in Downtown Janesville, 51 S. Main Street. Pictures taken on this weekend will look great in the town’s visitor Brochures for 2017.
