Janesville Rotary Botanical Gardens will present its Spring Symposium in late March.
The event will be a daylong gathering of horticulture enthusiasts coming together to meet, greet and get the latest on plants and landscaping from three horticulture experts.
Registration will be between 8:00 and 9:00 am, March 28, at the Rotary Botanical Gardens, 1455 Palmer Drive. During that time morning refreshments will be served and guests will get the opportunity to meander through the Cottage Garden Gallery.
Announcements and a welcome will begin at 9:00 am. Following at 9:15 am, Michael Jesiolwski, the Garden’s Director of Horticulture, will give a talk on “Have Plants Will Travel”. At 10:45 am, a half–hour break will give Bobbie Schwartz, a certified landscape designer, time to have a book-signing session. At 11:15 am, she will present a lecture on garden renovation.
Lunch will be at 12:30 pm and that will be followed by Mark Dwyer’s talk “Cool Plants to Know and Grow” at 1:15 pm. Dwyer was the Director of Horticulture at the Gardens for 21 years, and now specializes in horticultural and landscaping consulting.
Closing remarks will be at 2:45 pm. This will be a wrap up session where guests can fill out evaluations and turn in their lanyards. The program will end at 3:00 pm.
Registration will be $65 for members and $79 for non-members. Guests at events such as this often get Business Cards from the presenters.
