Two charity events have been scheduled for October. One is the House of Mercy Charity Ball and the other Das Boot Run/Walk for ECHO.
House of Mercy Homeless Center Charity Ball will begin with hors d’oeuvres, raffles, and silent auction at 5:00 pm. Dinner will follow at 6:15 pm. A video and remarks will be at 7:00 pm, and a live auction begins at 7:30 pm. Eddie Butts Band will entertain starting at 8:00 pm.
Individual tickets are $125, and raffle tickets are five for $20 or $5 each. Grand prize for the raffle will be $5000, second $2500, third $1500, fourth $1000 and fifth prize will be $500. The drawing will begin at 9:30 pm.
The House of Mercy Charity Ball will be at the Glen Erin Golf Club’s Celtic House, 1417 W. Airport Road on Saturday, October 1st.
Saturday, October 22nd beginning at 8:00 am, Downtown Janesville’s Town Square will be abuzz with runners and walkers ready to begin Das Boot for ECHO Run/Walk. Participants are asked to bring food and clothing donations for Janesville area’s low-income families.
The run will be a timed 3.44-mile boot-shaped route while the walk will be a little more than a mile. Registration will be $25 (Run), and $20 (Walk), and finishers will receive special boot souvenirs.
Pictures taken at charity events such as these often go to nearby Stationery printers to be included in promotional brochure printing.
