Janesville will pull out all the stops for this year’s LaborFest coming over Labor Day.
On the Sunday, from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm Shawn Sharpe will provide entertainment at the fest. He will be followed by Frank & Company from 2:00 pm until 5:00pm. Switch Trick Alley will perform from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
The parade will start the next day in downtown Janesville starting at 1:00 pm. Entries will include horses, trucks, cars, floats, walking units and bands. Some units will be busily getting brochure printing done to pass out literature along the route.
After the parade, Top Flight will take to the stage at 3:00 pm on Monday and go until 6:00 pm.
A car display will also be at the festival on Monday. The display will open at 10:00 am at Dee’s Barbershop, 510 W. Center Way. All cars that will be in the parade must be at the barbershop by noon.
Raffles will be held both days. Winners will receive either cash prizes from $250 to $2000 or items such as sunglasses and tools.
LaborFest will be from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm on Sunday, September 1st and continue Monday, September 2nd from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The festival location has changed this year to the Janesville Town Square Pavilion, 69 S River Street.
