The 4th annual Rock River Aero Modelers Society Fun Fly is coming toward the end of September. Both Janesville pilots and spectators are invited to attend this flying circus, where admission and parking will be free.
South of the field, a sanctioned MultiGP drone racing competition will be taking place. That event will be hosted by the 8915FPV crew and timed races will run throughout the day. To the north, there will be helicopters flying around and in the old quarry pit.
The main runway will have displays of electric, gas, foam, 3D, and scale aircraft. There will also be a swap meet tent.
For a $10 fee, pilots can land their crafts at the event. The first 50 pilots to register will receive a pilot gift bag containing an assortment of fastener screws, Zap glue, and ChadLee RC Podcast stickers. Registrants will get to enter the white raffle for eight $50 gift cards for the Fixed wing pilots, six for the Quad pilots, and six for the Heli pilots.
Pilots may purchase as many red tickets as they want. This raffle will include a tool kit, glue caddy, gift certificate, and two T-shirts with the Logo Design from ChadALee RC Podcast and Balsa USA.
The 4th Annual Fun Fly will be September 22 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm at 6806 South County Road in Beloit.
