The Christmas season here in Janesville is aglow with four light shows.
Over 20,000 lights at the free Striegel Light Show have been coordinated to music found on 90.90 FM. The lights are lit from Sundays through Thursdays from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm until January 2nd at 3767 Stone Ridge Drive. Donations will go to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin.
The Rock County Historical Society, 426 N Jackson Street, invites guests to stroll or drive through campus and view 30 lighted trees for its Holiday Tree Show-Outdoor Edition. Attendees may then enter the Lincoln-Tallman House to view over 130 more decorated and lighted firs for the Society’s annual indoor Holiday Tree Show. The indoor show will run from December 20 to 23 and again from December 27 to 30 from noon until 7:00 pm. The outdoor displays may be viewed anytime until December 30.
A winter wonderland with over one million twinkling lights awaits those driving through the Rotary Botanical Gardens, 1455 Palmer Drive, December 16 through 23, and December 26 through 30. The drive-through will be open from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
Adult tickets are $10, tickets for children from 3 to 12 are $5 and must be pre-purchased online or at the Cottage Garden Gallery. Younger children will not require tickets.
