Downtown Janesville rings in the holiday season with three days of Janesville’s Jolly Jingle.
The festival will begin with a Teen Band Jam. Afterwards, there will be a one-hour Rock County Community Handbell Choir Concert and the Tree Lighting ceremony.
A Holiday Light Show in Rotary Botanical Gardens, a production of Annie at the Janesville Performing Arts Center and the Janesville Art League Holiday Art Show, will take place every day during the festival.
Saturday will have holiday markets, ice skate show, stories told by Santa and Mrs. Claus, and trolley rides. There will also be a skate with Santa and a free concert by the Holiday Harmony Academy Singers. Santa will be meeting with children at St. Nick’s Winter Warm-up. Kids will also have activities, meet Henry the Llama, and enjoy soup and treats.
Craig High School Jazz Band will have a free concert. Live reindeer, a magic show, food trucks, caroling, and an Animal Express Show will precede the Holiday Lighted Parade and fireworks.
Janesville Senior Center will be holding a Kids’ Holiday Crafts, Games and Cookie Decorating event. At events such as this, parents take pictures of their little ones interacting with the senior citizens to local Stationery printers to be included in family Calendars.
Sunday will feature the Beloit Memorial Jazz Band, and the festival will end with Lights of Love 2018. Janesville Jolly Jingle will be November 30 through December 2.
