Five fundraisers on the way this fall

Several fundraising events have been scheduled in Janesville over the next two months.

On Saturday, September 18, the Isaac Strong Foundation will be partnering with Crossfit608, 545 North Main, to raise money for local families battling childhood cancer in its Crossfit608 for a Cure. The event will feature personal workouts and a one-mile memorial run/walk. During the walk and workouts, activities will be available for children.

On the following day, September 19 from 7:30 am until 11:00 am, the American Heart Association – Wisconsin will hold its annual Bert Blain Memorial Heart Walk beginning at Town Square Pavilion, 65 S. River Street. The walk will begin at 8:30 am with one- and three-mile options available.

The Pontiac Convention Center, 2809 N Pontiac Drive, will have a Walk A Mile in Her Shoes dinner and auction on September 30 beginning at 5:30 pm. The event is for Rock County’s YWCA’s initiative to help domestic violence victims.

The Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin will be the beneficiary of the Back Bar’s 12th Annual Charity Car, Truck and Bike Show at the Back of the Yards Softball Complex, 1901 Beloit Avenue. This is on October 10 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Finally, Bowl for Kids’ Sake – Janesville benefiting Big Brothers Big Sister of South Central Wisconsin will take place at RiversEdge Bowl, 215 S. River Street on Saturday, October 16 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Admission includes shoes, pizza, soda, three hours of bowling, and neon green T-shirts sporting the Rock Bowl Logo Design.
