To celebrate Earth Day, the Rotary Botanical Gardens will be presenting ‘Feathered Friends of the Gardens’. Admission to the venue and to the event will be free.
If the weather permits, guest will be invited to join adventures throughout the venue. Children can play games and participate in projects. Guest will be able to buy refreshments and food on the premise. For the first couple of hours, residents will be able to drop off up to five Boxes of documents to be shredded.
The Hoo’s Wood’s Raptor Center will be presenting the Amazing Birds of Prey Shows throughout the event. Their Birds of Prey shows that feature owls, eagles, hawks, and falcons will be presented twice. Between the two presentations, the center will have a show featuring the Snowy Owl. Everyone will be welcome to the presentations. There will be a $3 admission fee to each show. Children aged three years and younger will get in free.
Parents will want to bring cameras to capture their little ones’ enjoyment. The colorful pictures will make great subjects for possible poster printing, postcard printing, or maybe even Stationery printing.
This Earth Day event is scheduled for Saturday, April 23rd, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Rotary Botanical Gardens, 1455 Palmer Drive, Janesville. The drop off for shredding documents will be at Lion’s Beach.
