Residents of Janesville will soon have the opportunity to take part in a charity walk, which is scheduled for mid-May this year.
Walk MS is part of a nationwide event to raise funds and awareness for multiple sclerosis. The local event has raised an impressive $13,242.52 so far, and has a goal of $45,000.
Participants may opt for either the 1-mile or 3-mile routes, and both distances will have at least one hydration station and can accommodate mobility devices.
Participants and spectators can pick up colored circles that represent their part in the MS experience. Those colours will either be orange for those living with the disease, green for those supporting a person living with it, and yellow for those supporting the cause. These circles may be obtained in the Circles of Support area at the beginning of the event.
The site will open at 9:00 am, with the walk itself beginning at 10:00 am.
Participants raising $100 or more will receive T-shirts sporting this year's orange, green, and yellow Logo Design in the mail, and all registration must be done online. Teams may customize their shirts with their own graphic design and submit their order to the event's T-shirt vendor.
Those living with MS may visit the Center for People Living with MS to pick up complementary swag and helpful information.
The MS Walk: Janesville 2024 will take place Saturday, May 18, with the route beginning at Palmer Park.Get a Free Quote for Logo Design
