Area has five days of celebration

Those here in Janesville looking to celebrate the 4th of July for five days will be heading over to Milton, starting on July 3 for Rhythm and Booms.

A carnival will run the first four days from noon to 11:00 pm, and the food truck court will be open the Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday afternoons and evenings until 11:00 pm. The opening ceremony will begin at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 3, followed by live music.

The Milton 4th of July parade will step off at 1:00 pm on July 4 itself, and Milton Rhythm and Booms fireworks will take place at dark.

Kids’ Day will be from noon to 5:00 pm on July 5, and a 4th of July Softball Tournament will begin at 5:00 pm in Schilberg Park, with a Milton Crescents baseball game beginning at 7:30 pm.

Saturday, July 6 sees a three-a-side basketball tournament from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, and the softball tournament from 10:00 am to 11:00 am will be followed by a wine tasting at North Leaf and Timber Hill Wineries in the afternoon.

The softball championships continue on Sunday, July 7, and will run from 9:00 am to noon.

Towns that sponsor 4th of July events such as this often have pictures taken during the fun. These may go to local Print shops to be included in the town's newspapers, magazines, and visitor's guides.
