The Sunset Hills Historic Architecture Walking Tour is giving people the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful homes in Madison, no doubt of interest to history buffs in nearby Fitchburg.
The houses on the tour are single-family units that were built in the 1950s. This section of 94 homes located on the west side of Madison had strict restrictions on the quality of the architectural homes that were built here. For example, the homes had to have attached garages.
Large groups of eight or more should contact the organizers directly to make special arrangements. Those who wish to make cancellations must contact the organizers directly at least 24 hours prior to start of the tour in order to get a refund. All payments must be made in advance, as the organizers will no longer be accepting cash or Checks at the start of the tour. A Logo Design is likely to feature on the tickets at events like this.
The tour takes off from the Hoyt Park parking lot at 6:00 pm on July 7. The entire tour will last for about one hour and there will be a stop at the Blue Moon Bar & Grill for a drink. Tickets cost $10 for adults and students are charged $5. Madison Trust for Historic Preservation (MTHP) members get free access.
The tour may be canceled in the case of extreme weather conditions, in which case tickets will be refunded.
