Two newly arrived Wisconsin musicians will share the stage for the first time as a duo when pianist Eunice Kim and violinist Jinwoo Lee present Arco e Tasto: Hidden Gems in Fitchburg.
Lee, the recently appointed concertmaster of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, will join Kim, a noted chamber musician recognized for her expressive collaboration and interpretive depth.
The program centers on the work of two 19th-century composers whose careers challenged the conventions of their era. Emilie Mayer, once described by contemporaries as a formidable symphonic voice, produced chamber pieces and orchestral works that earned significant acclaim during her lifetime. Luise Adolpha Le Beau, who composed more than one hundred pieces, was known for her assertive musical language and for persisting through the gender barriers of the German conservatory system. Early and late compositions from both figures will be performed, offering audiences a perspective on their artistic development and lasting influence within the Romantic tradition.
The venue will open its bars at 7 pm, offering wine and cocktail options selected to complement each work performed. General admission is priced at $35, and attendees should note that free tickets are available to full-time students under 25 through advance request.
Poster printing may assist in promoting concerts of this nature across local cultural venues.
The event will occur on Saturday, January 10th, from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at Four Winds Farm, 5735 Adams Rd, Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
