Fitchburg Police to host community night out

The Fitchburg Police Department will hold its annual Community Night Out this August.

The event will offer residents the opportunity to engage with local officers and public safety agencies in a relaxed, family-oriented setting. The free event promotes community partnerships and highlights the role of law enforcement in building local trust.

This year’s gathering will feature several interactive exhibits and attractions, including a landing demonstration by the UW Health Med Flight team and an appearance by a Wisconsin National Guard Blackhawk helicopter. Attendees will also be able to explore a petting farm hosted by Havens Petting Farm, enjoy complimentary food and drinks, and cool down with free shaved ice courtesy of Kona Ice.

Children can participate in a safety-focused Bike Rodeo, while community organizations host educational and resource-based booths. As part of the evening's festivities, the department will celebrate the retirement of K9 Drago, honoring his years of service. A formal send-off will be followed by an introduction to the department’s newest K9 addition.

Residents are once again invited to leave handprints on a squad vehicle, a tradition symbolizing unity between the public and the department.

Events like this one may find it useful to use banner printing to highlight the different exhibits.

The event will be held on Wednesday, August 13th, from 5 pm to 8 pm at McKee Farms Park, located at 2930 Chapel Valley Road in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Admission is free. For more information, contact 608-270-4200.
