Fitchburg gathers for Booyah Bash
The Booyah Bash will return for its fourth year in Fitchburg, bringing residents together over a Wisconsin culinary staple.
The event is centered around “booyah,” a slow-cooked stew often prepared in kettles large enough to serve dozens of people.
Organizers expect the cooking to begin early in the morning, with the stew ready for serving by late afternoon. Guests are encouraged to arrive around midday to take part in games, music, and other activities before food is served. Yard games, volleyball courts, picnic tables, and children’s play structures will be available throughout the day.
A vegan-friendly option, a West African–inspired peanut stew, will also be offered to ensure all attendees can participate in the communal meal. The cost per serving will be announced prior to the event.
As in previous years, guests are asked to bring their own bowls, spoons, and beverages. Organizers also encourage participants to bring favorite toppings or sides to complement the stew. Oyster crackers, a traditional garnish, will be provided on-site. Indoor shelter space has been reserved to ensure comfort in case of cold October weather.
Proceeds from the stew sales will help offset ingredient costs, keeping the tradition sustainable.
Event organizers may use poster printing to promote local events such as this one and increase community turnout.
The Fourth Annual Bellen’s Booyah Bash will take place Saturday, October 25th from 12 pm to 8 pm at McKee Farms Park, 2930 Chapel Valley Rd, Fitchburg, Wisconsin.
