According to an official news release from the organization, the show will start on June 7th and will run until June 21st. The local communities of Madison and Fitchburg will have the opportunity to experience the art show free of charge and explore the captivating creations of Gilda's Club staff, members, and volunteers. Poster printing is a common feature at art galleries.
The designated timeframe means that attendees will also be able to enjoy Gilda's yearly Backyard BBQ fundraiser, providing them with the chance to appreciate the artwork on the evening of June 15th, while they enjoy some quality food.
The showcased artwork will encompass a diverse range of mediums, including sculptures, drawings, paintings, and photography. Kirsten Norslien, the Program Director, has said:
“Art is a powerful healing force for people who have been affected by cancer. It can be a way to express emotions, process experiences and connect with others. We are excited to bring our community together for this celebration of creativity and resilience.”
