No time to waste in Burlington

Locals are invited to join in and participate in a hazardous waste, prescription medicine, and electronic cleanup for their community, allowing people to create some storage space in their homes by removing unwanted but difficult to dispose of items.

The various communities involved might have used flyer printing to spread the word to the residents of these communities about this cleanup day, encouraging them to clear out their homes in a safe and responsible way.

This is the 3rd annual ‘Clean Sweep’ event in this area, and includes the communities of Burlington, Dover, Rochester, Union Grove, and Waterford. The event provides families with a safe way to dispose of items like hazardous waste or prescription medicine, although there is a $10 fee for all computer monitors and televisions.

As part of this event, the organizers are asking the public to bring a non-perishable food item or personal care products to assist local charities.

There is no fee to attend this event, aside from the aforementioned charges for electronic equipment. The Clean Sweep 2014 will be happening on Saturday, April 26, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the City of Burlington Public Works Facility located at 2200 S. Pine Street in Burlington, Wisconsin. To find out more about this morning event, visit the Burlington Chamber of Commerce website or call 262-539-3770.
