Maxwell Street Days to transform Burlington sidewalks

Maxwell Street Days will be back in July as Burlington residents turn up for the annual sidewalk sale. Over the years, this event has attracted interest from people all over Southeastern Wisconsin.

The event will have artisans and vendors selling handcrafted items, products and collectibles at Wehmhoff Square, and downtown. Those interested in experiencing a slice of history can look forward to the ice cream social hosted by the Historical Society.

Yard and garage sales put up throughout the community will be promoted by the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce. Residents can indicate their participation by placing balloons on the street leading up to their yard. The Chamber will put up advertisements on social media and Discover the Treasures to spread the word.

If personal advertisements for yard and garage sales are placed in the Hi-Liter, they must be grouped with other advertisements for sales in the community. Organizers often promote such events by using banner printing and placing Banners at strategic locations throughout the city. More details are available on the Burlington Chamber of Commerce website and Facebook page. Residents who have questions about the event can call the Chamber at 262-763-6044.

Maxwell Street Days will be on July 30 and 31 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Ice Cream Social will be held on July 31 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Pioneer Log Cabin.
