Generac Power Systems has plans to renovate existing Wisconsin facilities, including the Burlington location. It will be investing $53m with the expectation that 700 jobs will be created by 2024.
Part of the reason for the investment and the added jobs will be to fund and man the new Pewaukee customer contact center, which the company acquired in August at a cost of $6.75m from American Family Insurance. Additionally, there will be renovations of existing facilities and in the Town of Genesee, where its corporate headquarters will see an expansion of its research and development lab.

Wisconsin may provide Enterprise Zone tax credits up to $9m if Generac meets specific hiring and capital investment goals by 2024 as per the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.
