Fundraising run and walk scheduled for Burlington

Burlington High School will be playing host to an event that will raise money to help support health related education, research, and other activities.

The Hope Walk 5k run or walk will include both a timed 5K run and, for those who prefer a slower pace, a two-mile walk will also be held. The course will follow along the White River Trails and through the subdivisions that surround the school. Along with the race, there will be food, live music, and a silent auction to help build the spirit of fun and celebration. A printing company can produce everything from Banners to race bibs that can help to make a day like this even more of a success.

The fee to register is $30 until September 23, and on the day of the event, it will be $35. Both individuals and teams are welcome, and there is plenty of parking available in the high school lot.

The Our Hope Run and Walk will be held on September 24, with registration starting at 7:30 am. The run and walk portion of the day will start at 9:00 am, with the medal ceremony and after event activities scheduled to begin as soon as the race is over.

Those who are interested in finding out more about the event, or who would like to sign up to take part, can do so by visiting its website.
