One of the projects greenlit thanks to the referendum is the construction of a new school. An event was held to mark the groundbreaking ceremony for the new school, which will be called the Nettie Karcher Middle School. Students and officials from the city council were in attendance. Brochure printing is one tool that developers can use to keep shareholders updated on such a project's progress.
Nick Kent from Plunkett Raysich Architects took the opportunity to state how happy he is to be a part of the project. He said that:
“It is truly an honor to be here tonight. It is really exciting to think about what we all can do to affect the generations that are to come. Of course, as architects, we just get to draw things on paper.”
The new school is expected to be completed in 2021. $32.7 million for the development will come from a referendum passed by voters in November 2018. The entrance to the new school will be from the second level of Wainwright Avenue. Once construction on this building is complete, the school district will implement a new grade configuration plan.
