Burlington residents looking for a fun outing in February can travel the less than 30 miles to downtown Racine to enjoy and celebrate the best hot and cold the city has to offer, as well as get in a little shopping.
The Downtown Racine Corporation (DRC) will be bring back the city’s Chili Ice Walk, a free event where attendees can enjoy a scavenger hunt, warm up their insides with chili samples, and view amazing ice sculptures. The sculpting will commence at noon with each sculptor starting with a large block of ice and scattered throughout the downtown area's sidewalks.
Banner printing services are often called upon to assist with promoting community events.
A wide assortment of restaurants will be sampling out their chili at their locations among which are Marci’s on Main, Pub on Wisconsin, Red Onion Café, Reefpoint Brew House, The Maple Table, Joey’s Yardarm, The Blue Rock, InMoxicated, and the Harbor Lite Yacht Club. Plus, Captain Mike’s Food Truck will be dispensing samples at the library. The public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite chili.
A scavenger hunt with a chili and ice theme will involve the store windows of 20 businesses and costs nothing to take part in. Those who successfully complete the scavenger hunt will be rewarded with a $5 gift card redeemable downtown.
The Chili Ice Walk will take place on February 26 from noon to 4:00 pm.
