Burlington’s Enlightened Living Center has scheduled a community event that will make it a snap for locals to support area small businesses, and it will kick off the area's winter holiday gift buying season.
The Enlightened Artisan Market will be filled with handmade goods, and a wide assortment of items will be in the mix. The application system for makers is now open, and an application form has been created to help make the process easier.
Those who are approved to participate will receive the use of two chairs, and there are three different booth styles on offer. The 10 foot by 10 foot and round options include a table, while the 8 foot by 10 foot does not. The sellers will need to collect Wisconsin state sales tax, and set-up will take place on the Friday evening and Saturday morning before the doors open to the public. Payment must be submitted along with the application Forms and waivers.
Taking part in community pop-up markets gives crafters and makers an easy way to connect with the public. A Print shop will be happy to work with sellers, ensuring they have the Business Cards, promotional Pens and other items they may need to find success.
The date for the Enlightened Artisan Market will be Saturday, October 14. The final date to submit a request to participate is September 29, and the application forms can be found on the host’s website.
