Burlington to host 29th annual sweet celebration

Chocolate lovers from around the area will soon have a chance to indulge their sweet tooth at the Burlington Chocolate Festival.

This will be the 29th year for the celebration. Along with providing those who come out with a chance to enjoy chocolate treats, there will be live entertainment, a carnival, and fireworks. It is run by volunteers as a way to raise funds for more than 60 different service groups and organizations, and last year, over $118,000 was collected.

The price of admission for those 13 and older will be $7 in advance and $8 at the gate, while for those who are ages 5 to 12, it will be $2.50 and $3 respectively. There is no admission charge for children under 5. Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time via the event’s webpage up until May 20. There will also be a small fee for parking.

The carnival rides open to the public on the evening of May 21, while the festival itself opens on the 22. The fireworks display will take place on May 22, starting at 9:00 pm. The Veterans Day Parade will begin at 9:00 am on May 25. Poster printing firms can create promotional items, tickets, and signage for such an event.

Anyone who would like to learn more about the event is invited to visit the ChocolalteFest website.
