Known to many as “Chocolate City USA”, Burlington will once again see runners follow a planned route through a local park in celebration of one of the popular winter time uses of this sweet treat.
As part of its Hot Chocolate Fest activity, the city will be hosting its annual Cabin Fever 5k. Runners will gather in Echo Park before heading out, and it is open to all. Awards will be given to the top three female and male competitors, in the different age groupings, and everyone who participates will receive a special finisher's medal that has been custom designed for the occasion.
Each adult who registers for this community event will be given a specially designed set of warm fleece accessories which includes a hat, gloves and scarf, all contained in a branded cinch pack. A child who wishes to receive this race swag can purchase theirs upon registration. A printer can use graphic design to create logos and other branding for promotional items such as this.
The Cabin Fever 5k will be held on February 12th in Echo Park with staging starting at 9:00 am. The early bird fee for adults is $30.00, while for youth ages 6-15 is $10.00, while for children aged up to 5 years old can participate for free. Additional information and a registration link can be found on the event’s website.
