The excitement of an event that combines a race with a raffle is on the way to Burlington, and the money raised will benefit a variety of community service projects.
Experience Burlington Days will be held this month, and the 6th annual Duck Dash is one of the activities on the agenda. The winner will split the proceeds evenly with the cause. Last year, the prize was nearly $3,000.
Participants can purchase a duck for $10, and those who would like to boost their chances of winning can buy three for $20. The race will begin at the bridge in Wehmhoff Jucker Park, and the first duckie to cross the finish line will be declared the winner. While everyone is welcome to join in the excitement of watching the race, supporters do not have to be in attendance to claim their prize.
