The second running of the Burlington Tall Tales Music Festival is almost upon us. The free event, which is to be a regular thing each year, celebrates the ability to tell a story through music.
With performers coming from all over, from Nashville to Los Angeles, as well as far closer to home, the streets of downtown Burlington this weekend will be the place to go for music fans of all ages.
The show, which is presented in partnership with Burlington’s The Coffee House at Chestnut & Pine and the Run Run Bebop music management company, also hosts workshops. A suitable way for kids with a fondness for music to really get into their love, this year's show has been extended from one to two days.
The nurturing of the talents of children and teens is seen as the key inspiration for the event, with the idea coming largely from The Coffee House's own popular Open Mic events.
It received great support from the local community too, while Print companies in Burlington helped out greatly with Posters, Banners, and all manner of flyer printing.
The festival this year will be headlined by Corey Chisel and new ensemble Soul Obscura, with Burlington High School’s own Orange Crush Band also taking to the stage.
