The excitement of a special event is on the way for Burlington, and it will feature some cute and quacky “races”.
The 6th annual Duck Dash will soon be bringing summer fun to the city, and its presenting sponsor is Greenwoods State Bank. The duckies will be floating their way along Fox River, and the winner will receive a cash prize.
This even split style activity will kick off when the rubber ducks hit the water at Wehmhoff Jucker Park on its scheduled date, and its being hosted as part of the larger Experience Burlington Days. Ducks can be purchased for $10.00 each or three for $20.00, and the race will last until the first “quacker” makes it across the finish line. The BHS football team has volunteered to help catch the ducks, and the person with the winner doesn't have to be on site to claim their prize.
Rubber duck and other races give communities a fun way to fundraise, and they often attract a lot of attention from the public. A banner printing company can prepare Banners for start and finish lines as well as marketing materials and Corporate Gifts, including the "racers" themselves.
