Burlington event to showcase the areas sustainable farming community

Burlington’s agricultural sector will be showing its sustainable side during an event that will bring the community together in a spirit of fun.

Kyle Cherek, who is the host of Wisconsin Foodie, will serve as the MC for the Going Whole Hog Farm Fresh Feast, which will be held in Brightonwoods Orchard. A huge assortment of produce, grown using sustainable methods and fresh from the farm will be turned into an variety of dishes by La Merenda Chef Peter Sandroni as well as other special guest chefs from the local area. Live music will be performed by The Dillweeds, and there will be raffles and other activities during this family friendly event.

The proceeds from the meal will be used to help support the publication of the Farm Fresh Atlas of Southeastern Wisconsin, which will promote the area’s different farms, restaurants, farmers’ markets and other sources of food. A printer that performs marketing services will be able to craft an assortment of small Promotional Products that can be given away during an occasion such as this.

The dinner service will begin at 5:00 pm, and there will be a social hour beforehand. The tickets for the function include the meal, two drinks, and also a specially selected gift.
