The Burlington area is about to be treated to a day filled with summertime fun in the heart of winter, and it will help a local young person raise funds for a cause he holds dear.
Brodie Wisniewski, who is 14 years old, is raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He explained on his fundraising page that he wants to make sure medical care, food, and other expenses are covered for families with a child battling cancer at St. Jude, and all support will be appreciated.
The Swimming for Hope event will be held at Timber Ridge Lodge Waterpark, in Lake Geneva, and tickets are $15. They can be picked up at Sunseekers Tanning on Curtis Street, and the organizers are hoping it will be a sell-out, as this will help Brodie to reach his goal of raising $28,000. All ages are welcome.
