Burlington event to offer 70s-style fun

Fans of the old TV sitcom “Three’s Company” have been invited to attend a Burlington area shindig that will pay homage to one of its female characters.

The second annual Mrs. Roper Romp will be a themed Halloween party that will bring out everyone's “Helen.” Curly red wigs, ugly long dresses, and costume jewelry, which were among the character’s trademarks, are highly encouraged attire for the guests.

Those who purchase a ticket for the festivities will be able to enjoy music from the 1970s, as well as cocktails with a “Three’s Company” theme. Everyone can dance the evening away with their “Stanley” or on their own, and a buffet station of ‘70s-style food will be set up for the guests to enjoy. Drinks must be purchased separately, and the schedule for the celebration will run for three hours. Tickets are $23.18 each, and their price includes applicable fees and taxes. They are expected to sell out quickly.

When organizing a party around a central theme, planners may find themselves in the market for custom décor. A banner printing company will be happy to lend a hand, and can also offer Graphic Design Services.

The second annual Mrs. Roper Romp will bring the ‘70s back to the Burlington area on Friday, October 25. It is scheduled for 406 N. Lake Avenue in Lake Geneva.
