Burlington competition to showcase chocolate

According to the organizers of an upcoming Burlington event, there is an art to appreciating chocolate, and those who attend will have an opportunity to learn more about this for themselves.

Burlington High School will be the location for this year’s Chocolate Extravaganza, and it promises to be a sweet time for everyone who participates. A variety of entries will be up for judging, and the audience will be able to watch the judges in their work and learn how they go about the process of choosing which one they feel is the best.

Members of the public are invited to submit an entry in the competition, and several categories have been made. These include candy and miscellaneous; cupcakes; pie or torte; bars and cookies; and cake. Both children and adults alike are welcome to participate, and each entry needs to be accompanied by its recipe.

Along with the judging of the submissions, a cakewalk has been added to this year’s event. The attendees of the event will also be invited to sample the entries. A local Stationery printing company will be able to craft custom designed award certificates for each person who competes in an occasion like this.

This competition will be taking place on March 10, and is being brought to the community, in part, through the support of Town Bank. Additional details can be found on the Burlington Chamber of Commerce’s website.
