What's Happening in Burlington, WI…

Burlington Chocolate Fest reimagined

One of the state’s top event companies, 5Kevents, has officially unveiled the successor to Burlington’s Chocoholic 5K/10K - the Kringle Krush 5K/10K. The rebranding being is a by-product of local industry changes.

When the Chocoholic 5K/10K was first instituted, it got its name from the city’s nickname of The Chocolate City, which it acquired in 1987. 5Kevents decided on the name change to accompany the larger rebranding taking place in Burlington. What was once known as Chocolate Fest is now the Burlington Jamboree. The newly dubbed Kringle Krush 5K/10K will be as “sweet” as ever with its name chosen for the Kringle’s position as Wisconsin’s official pastry.

Everything that surrounded the old 5K/10K event will remain the same. Banner printing services are extremely useful when it comes to marketing large events like this.

The Kringle Krush 5K/10K is a timed endurance event where participants can walk or run as they choose. Registration is conducted online at the event’s website. Those who complete the event will be rewarded with a selection of Wisconsin’s famous Kringle, locally produced in Racine County.

Times will be determined via a chip worn by each participant and a variety of medals will be presented to those finishing their selected course.

The Kringle Krush 5K/10K event will be held at 10:30 am on May 29. The Burlington Jamboree begins immediately after the race’s awards ceremony, at about 1:00 pm. Carnival games, food, drinks, and rides will all be available for purchase.
