Burlington residents already have an event to put on their calendar for next spring; a unique fundraiser called the Big Balloon Build will be taking place at Lake Geneva’s Covenant Harbor.
From around the world, 60 artists will make their way to Lake Geneva to spend four days, with 50,000 balloons transforming a gymnasium into a springtime balloon paradise. Once complete, the installation will welcome the public with ticket proceeds going to Inspiration Ministries, an organization in Walworth that assists those with disabilities.
A poster printing service works best for events a month or more in the future, while flyer printing services can be better suited to more immediate events.
The event, for which Lake Geneva’s Wisconsin Balloon Décor is the host, is to include breakfast with the Easter Bunny, a popping party, food drive, and a ticketed VIP event.
Wisconsin Balloon Décor owner, Sara Meyer, took part in the inaugural Big Balloon Build in Vincennes, Indiana in April and it made quite an impression. She said:
"It was the largest installation I've ever been part of, which was incredible. ...I knew I wanted to bring it home. Thousands of people came to view the balloons and we helped raise $120,000 for charity."
The Big Balloon Build will take place March 20 to 26, 2023, with tickets going on sale in January.
