What's Happening in Baraboo, WI…

New university building opens in Baraboo

An open house was recently held at the University of Wisconsin-Baraboo/Sauk County campus to help celebrate the grand opening of its new science building and other revamped spaces.

The public who came out to take part in the event had an opportunity to take a self-guided tour of both the new and upgraded parts of the facility. They also got to enjoy refreshments while they chatted with staff and even observe a class while it was in session. There were ambassadors on hand from the student body to give directions to anyone who needed them.

The programs that are taught in the facility are the responsibility of the University, while the city and county both own the actual physical structure and land that it sits on. The first classes to be held there began on October 5th, and he courses that are being taught there include biology and chemistry as well as anatomy and physiology. A catalog printing company can include color photos of this latest addition to the university in such things as course calendars and other materials that such an institution uses to promote itself to potential students who are trying to decide where to go to obtain their post secondary education.

Assistant Dean David Armstrong noted that all of the furniture that had been ordered for the classrooms and other areas of the addition been delivered, while some other supplies such as geology samples, replica skeletons and microscopes are on order.
