A special Halloween celebration set for a local venue will soon welcome Baraboo’s little ghosts and goblins, who will learn about some of its reptile residents while they have fun.
Friends of Devil’s Lake has organized its annual Halloween Extravaganza, and it will offer four hours of fun. While no entry fee is being charged, donations will be appreciated. Everyone is on the guestlist, as the event is also suitable for people with mobility and other challenges.
The evening will open with a crafting session and pumpkin carving party, and these will be lit up and put on display along a torchlit path. After the jack o' lanterns are finished, it will be time to enjoy snacking on s'mores around the campfire, and everyone is encouraged to wear their costume for the parade. Families can stop by the Rock Elm Shelter so they can pick up their snake trivia game, which will offer fun ways to learn about the scaly creatures and why they are important.
Halloween events may require custom printed decor, and a local banner printing company will be happy to help. Their reusable options can be folded or rolled up for storage until needed again.
This evening of spooky family-friendly fun will kick off at Devil's Lake State Park at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 25. It will start at 4:00 pm and wrap up at 8:00 pm.
