Baraboo annual parade lights up the night

As Baraboo moves into another winter holiday season, it will be lighting up the night with a parade that has come to be a local tradition.

The city’s Christmas Light Parade will be making its return in late November, and it will include a wide assortment of entries by businesses, local service groups and other organizations. It is scheduled for the city’s downtown, and a very special guest will be on hand for the event.

The spectators that line the parade route will be treated to a special experience with lots of floats, marchers, horses, and other entries. They will all be illuminated, and Santa himself will throw the switch on the lights of the city’s Downtown Baraboo Holiday Tree, which will be installed atop the Al. Ringling Theatre. The activity is being offered thanks to support from Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, which is the presenting sponsor for the celebration. It will be broadcast live on TV 43 / Max 99.7.

Holiday parades often include entries that are sponsored by local businesses. A banner printing company can include its branding in the Banners, flags, and other items used in procession.

The 2025 Downtown Baraboo Christmas Light Parade will take to the street in the city’s downtown on Saturday, November 22. It will start at 6:00 pm, and more details about its route can be found on the Downtown Baraboo website.
