Baraboo to treat teddies and other toys

Baraboo’s stuffed toys have been invited to be the VIPs at a special activity that will see these fuzzy friends enjoy a “staycation” at some local parks.

The city has planned its “Gathering of the Huggables” activity, which they hope will delight local youngsters. Each child from preschool to grade three can drop off one “stuffie” for the occasion, and they will be ready for pick up the next day.

The staff that facilitates the project will take all of the toys dropped off and treat them to games and other fun. There will be digital photos taken of the celebration, and these will be made available to the kids that took part. Stuffies can be left at the collection station set up at room 17 of the Baraboo Civic Center, while the Baraboo Civic Center Gymnasium will serve as the pickup point.

Kids activities may call for lots of fun decor, and a poster printing company will be happy to supply organizers with an assortment of options. They will also be able to craft themed Promotional Products to distribute.

This chance for Baraboo stuffies to enjoy a night out on the town is set for March 30. The toys may be picked up the next day, and the price starts at $15 for residents and $25 for non-residents.
