Baraboo to host traditional military ball

The American military is steeped in tradition, and one of these will pay homage to its troops on horseback, both past and present.

Members of the Cavalry Troops will be honored during the annual 1st Squadron, 105th Cavalry Regiment Military Ball, which will take place in Baraboo next February. The agenda opens with a cocktail hour mixer, and the dress for the evening is formal attire, with military dress uniform being the order of the day.

After the cocktail meet and greet, the event will officially open with an informal grog ceremony, and dinner will be served. The diners can choose their menu selection ahead of time, and the meal will be followed by an awards ceremony, dinner, and dancing.

When they order their tickets, military members will be asked to indicate their rank, as well as their name and their meal selection. Guest tickets require their name and menu options.

Mess dinners, regimental, or squadron balls and other military events are often steeped in tradition and may require specialized Print services such as banner printing. These will be available at area Print shops.

The 2024 2024 1st Squadron, 105th Cavalry Regiment Military Ball will open with a meet and greet cocktail hour starting at 4:00pm on February 3. Kalahari Resorts & Conventions - Wisconsin Dells has been chosen to serve as the location for the festivities.
